Great Fosters Wedding Photography
Mel and Ben chose to have a Great Fosters wedding for its amazing historical beauty. This venue is a beautiful 16th century mansion nestled within 50 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and parkland, a Great Fosters wedding is a sight to behold making it the perfect venue for a wedding.
It truly is a hidden gem! The hotel is home to many unique features that reflect its rich history, including an original royal crest of Queen Elizabeth that can be found above the main porch, dating back to 1598. In its time, the hotel has played host to an eclectic array of guests, including the likes of Orson Welles and Charlie Chaplin.
My personal favourite part about this location was not only the incredibly stunning rooms, but the gardens surrounding the venue. As always, I had done a little bit of research beforehand, to find where would be best for photos and any little hidden gem I could find. I discovered a woodland walk full of autumn leaves and giant pine trees, which meant we were able to capture some excellent imposing photos later in the day.
Rain rain go away
Unfortunately on the day it was threatening to rain with moody clouds above the treeline. But luckily, the rain held off which gave us lots of time to go explore the grounds for photos. Mel & Ben’s ceremony room overlooked the epic views that you could see from the rear gardens of Great Fosters.
During the ceremony we had a quick rain shower, but the sun shone through. It made for a very atmospheric feeling to the ceremony. For a quick moment afterwards there was a rainbow shining down on the wedding. If this isn’t a positive sign I don’t know what is!
Love is all around us
Mel & Ben’s Great fosters wedding was one rich in happiness. It was one of those weddings that at the end of the night your cheeks hurt due to smiling and laughing so much. Weddings are moments in life that are full of so many emotions – all based around a positive vibe and family.
I really did have an incredible time and I thank them both for allowing me to be their photographer. Being a wedding photographer is the best job in the world. I wouldn’t change it for a thing! Thinking of having a Great Fosters wedding for your big day? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch here!
