Lympne Castle Wedding

When Louise and Rob asked me to capture their Lympne Castle Wedding, I was so thrilled as it would be my first visit to the coastal parts of Kent and also my first Kent wedding in a castle! Bridal prep started on site at the castle in a quaint room which had windows along the whole of one side which is a photographers dream as we naturally head towards the light like moths. Louise had the most amazing dress by Ellis bridals and everyone couldn’t wait for the time to come for her to put it on. The ceremony was beautiful and Rob looked relaxed and calm whilst he waited for Louise to make her entrance.

There was so much love in the room for these guys, a couple of the guests started to get teary straight away which is always so nice to see. I think my favourite moment had to be when page boy Archie stepped up to give the rings to Louise & Rob. It was cuteness overload which made for great photos. The reception was so much fun as there was games including a quiz about the happy couple but also a really nice gesture from Louise & Rob to bridesmaid Keriann who’s birthday it was and having a birthday cake complete with candles for her to blow out really showed what loving caring people these too are.

A Coastal France View

With so much fun going on we had a quick window to pop out for some sunset shots which I always try and get my couples to do as I love the light at this time of the day. We were lucky as the weather had been kind to us all day and luckily at this point of the day the cloudy sky had gone and a touch of blue sky was peeking through.

We went around the beautiful castle grounds and captured some lovely relaxed shots and having been here for the first time Lympne Castle does not disappoint for photos especially the back of the castle which overlooks the coastline of Kent and on a clear day I was told you could see France!

Dance like nobody’s watching!

As the night finished I witnessed some of the best dance floor action I have seen and once the tomfoolery box from DJ Harry Kilb was opened the evening went to another level. A perfect end to the night came with with a DJ battle between Louise and Rob which was another first for me but most of all really entertaining which I loved every minute of it. Anyway, enough of me please have a look at my photos from this amazing Kent Wedding below and feel free to comment as I love to hear what folk think of my work. For great vendors see end of post.
