Woodlands Park Hotel Wedding | Anisa & Tristan

A Stunning Woodlands Park Hotel Wedding

With wedding season starting to get into swing I headed to Cobham for a woodlands park hotel wedding in Surrey. This venue has a lovely 18th century character but with a modern/classic twist once inside. Getting ready inside is where I found Anisa and her bridesmaids and mother. When I entered the room I was hit with so much energy and laughter and knew straight away this wedding will be one to remember. Anisa is such a positive, funny, larger than life character which is infectious. Bridal prep was such a laugh with Anisa making everyone giggle a lot. With a woodlands park hotel wedding you are privileged to a ceremony in the grand Oak room and it was very apparent how much Anisa and Tristan care for each other, which is what I love seeing the most.

A race against the weather for portraits

After the ceremony finished we headed out to do some portraits which was against the clock as the weather had changed from being a sunny morning to a very overcast day and was ready to rain cats and dogs at any moment. We managed to get some shots in before the rain started and headed back inside for the start of the wedding breakfast. The speeches started of with Anisa's sister setting the tone with a very funny and heartwarming speech followed by Tristan and his best men. Everybody was in stitches from the start too the end and after the wedding breakfast had finished it was straight onto the dance floor for some brilliant dance moves by friends and family. Any way enough of me talking please have a look at my photos below, as always feel free to add your comments below as I love reading them.

Lympne Castle Wedding

Lympne Castle Wedding | Louise & Rob

Lympne Castle Wedding

When Louise and Rob asked me to capture their Lympne Castle Wedding, I was so thrilled as it would be my first visit to the coastal parts of Kent and also my first Kent wedding in a castle! Bridal prep started on site at the castle in a quaint room which had windows along the whole of one side which is a photographers dream as we naturally head towards the light like moths. Louise had the most amazing dress by Ellis bridals and everyone couldn't wait for the time to come for her to put it on. The ceremony was beautiful and Rob looked relaxed and calm whilst he waited for Louise to make her entrance.

There was so much love in the room for these guys, a couple of the guests started to get teary straight away which is always so nice to see. I think my favourite moment had to be when page boy Archie stepped up to give the rings to Louise & Rob. It was cuteness overload which made for great photos.  The reception was so much fun as there was games including a quiz about the happy couple but also a really nice gesture from Louise & Rob to bridesmaid Keriann who's birthday it was and having a birthday cake complete with candles for her to blow out really showed what loving caring people these too are.

A Coastal France View

With so much fun going on we had a quick window to pop out for some sunset shots which I always try and get my couples to do as I love the light at this time of the day. We were lucky as the weather had been kind to us all day and luckily at this point of the day the cloudy sky had gone and a touch of blue sky was peeking through. We went around the beautiful castle grounds and captured some lovely relaxed shots and having been here for the first time Lymnpe Castle does not disappoint for photos especially the back of the castle which overlooks the coastline of Kent and on a clear day I was told you could see France!

Dance like nobody's watching!

As the night finished I witnessed some of the best dance floor action I have seen and once the tomfoolery box from DJ Harry Kilb was opened the evening went to another level. A perfect end to the night came with with a DJ battle between Louise and Rob which was another first for me but most of all really entertaining which I loved every minute of it.

Anyway, enough of me please have a look at my photos from this amazing Kent Wedding below and feel free to comment as I love to hear what folk think of my work. For great vendors see end of post.

French Chateau Wedding

Chateau de Courtomer Wedding | Chantel & Evan

Chateau de Courtomer | Wedding Photographer France. When Chantel and Evan enquired about me being their wedding photographer and whether or not I would come to France to capture it I was so thrilled. Everything about this wedding sounded amazing and I was privileged to be chosen to capture it. Driving through the rural empty roads of south France was simply breathtaking and then I arrived at the incredible historic 17th Century Chateau de Courtomor which just blows you away when you see it. Bridal prep was such a fun relaxed vibe with Chantel & her bridesmaids popping the champagne and dancing to music whilst making each other laugh & giggle. The weather was simply gorgeous with not a cloud in the sky all day and the ceremony was simple but beautiful with everybody in awe of how beautiful Chantel & Evan both looked. There was so much love in the air for these two and I hope you all enjoy the highlights below.  A big thank you to Chantel & Evan and there families for making me feel so welcome. I hope you all enjoy a few of my favourites below and please share & comment as I would love to hear peoples' thoughts. Chateau de Courtomer | Wedding Photographer France.

Suffolk Wedding Photographer

Polstead Church Wedding | Carla & Toby

Suffolk Wedding Photography

As a Suffolk Wedding Photographer, Carla and Toby's wedding has to be one of my highlights for this year, as soon as I met up with these two I knew this was going to be a amazing wedding. Driving on route down lovely country roads most of which only a cars width finally led me too a very quaint village of Polstead. The wedding was in such a pretty church with fields amongst fields as a backdrop. Such a beautiful ceremony and they certainly packed out the church, my favourite moment had to be the great confetti line we did! I think we must of set a world record for the longest confetti line, it's not official but I'm counting it.

After the ceremony we all headed up and over the hills towards the beautiful Tipi's set up in a gorgeous garden, the beer and wine started to flow but we managed to squeeze in some great family fun shots before heading off to capture some portraits of the lovely couple. The speeches where so funny & I had to stop myself from laughing so. As the sun started to set to the east I managed to convince Toby and Carla to go for a stroll with me and I glad we did as we just about caught the evening sunset amongst the beautiful daisy fields.

St Audries Park Wedding | Pippa & Adam 1

St Audries Park Wedding | Pippa & Adam

St Audries Park Wedding

This was my first Somerset wedding at the amazing St Audries Park Wedding venue. The drive across to this gorgeous Somerset wedding was simply spectacular and I just love how there are cider barrels propped up on the side of the road directing you where to go or advertising local cider! Pippa and Adam are from my neck of the woods but chose to have a St Audries Park Wedding as they were blown away when they went to an open day and fell in love with the idea of having a nature inspired Somerset wedding and I can see why.

A beautiful St Audries Park Wedding

A St Audries Park Wedding has so many great photo opportunities my only hope was the weather will hold off. Luckily the weather did hold off for the ceremony but did start to get rather windy and cold in the afternoon but fear not the main banqueting hall is just divine to start the party in and folk did get the just chance to get back out and have a quick game of croquet or two. I must say the ceremony was great, as Pippa walked out of the house with her bridesmaids and down the secret side path and into the orangery you could feel the love beaming from everyone in the room.

Somerset Wedding

After the ceremony we took a few family photos outside before heading back inside as that West Country wind was causing quite a few chills. It was great to see so many of there friends and family having such a good time and just after the first dance everyone had a chance to get there groove on to a Cuban band called The Cuban Aires which where brilliant. Anyway enough of me on with the photos right! Please feel free to leave comments as I love to hear people's thoughts on how I captured the day. St Audries Park Wedding Photographer.
