The Elvetham Hotel Wedding

Lucy and Santi found me whilst looking for Hampshire wedding photography on Google. Luckily for me I popped up on their search for Elvetham Hotel wedding photography. I’ve photographed couples at the Elvetham many times but have always been too busy to put words down on paper and blog about Elvetham Hotel wedding photography! So new year and new resolutions, I am committing myself to at least one blog each month.

A Crisp October Morning

So where do I start! On this very chilly October morning, where the fog had settled across all the grounds of the Elvetham hotel I found Santi and his groomsmen prepping the entrance and ceremony room. Santi, very much a man of style and taste, cleary had a great eye for detail, and between him and his groomsmen, were making everything perfect for when Lucy walked in for the first time.

Strawberries and Champagne

I left the boys to it and made my way upstairs to find Lucy and her bridesmaids popping champagne and eating strawberries. The music was going and the vibe was perfect. As the fog started to clear, the sun started to shine in through the windows and the light just seemed to be perfect for bridal prep. Like all weddings, the time flies, and before we knew it the time had come for lucy to put on her wedding dress.

Whilst I left Lucy to it, I quickly found Santi and the boys to capture some great photos of them getting ready in their black tuxedos and bow ties; I told you, very stylish! With a quick step back up to the girls, I had timed my arrival to capture lucy coming out in her dress for the first time for her dad to see. For me, I love this moment, as it’s really emotional and it’s a memory that lasts forever for both father and daughter.

The time had come to make our way down to the ceremony. Santi was waiting and with a quick announcement from the registrar, the guests all arose to welcome the bridal party into the room. Lucy’s entrance with her dad in arms was beautiful and Santi’s expression when seeing Lucy for the first time, was priceless. The ceremony was swift and classy and with a seal of a kiss, they were married!

The whole day was then blessed by glorious sunshine,. And it’s worth noting that October does bring the best sunsets all year, as the sun has a warmer Orange glow than other months. With this in mind, we made our plans early to have some sunset shots outside the Elvetham and they didn’t disappoint. The speeches were funny and emotional and we even got all the guests to witness the cake cutting, which can be done thanks to the lovely curved staircase at the Elvetham.

Anyone for Sunset and Sparklers?

The night was rounded off with some killer neon glasses and dance moves from Lucy, Santi and their quests. As the dust settled we quickly popped outside for a few more night portraits, and also a sparkler exit photo. Anyway, that’s probably enough from this Hampshire wedding photographer, now on with the Elvetham Hotel wedding photography!
