Breathtaking Nunney Castle, Somerset Wedding Photographer - Sarah & Daniel

Somerset Wedding Photographer

Frome, somerset was the setting for this somerset wedding photographer with this stunning wedding of Sarah and Daniel. Set high up in the Mendip Hills of Somerset, Frome has everything you could need for a wedding. From history to culture, architecture and breathtaking vistas, Frome has plenty to offer. Topping lists for the hippest and best place in England, Frome sets its own pace.

Steeped in history from its days as the centre of cloth making, there are plenty of 17th and 18th century buildings to see and one certain 17th century barn was the location of this beautiful wedding! Frome is a place renowned for creativity and free thinking, needless to say Sarah and Daniel did not disappoint! From cloth hanging inside the barn to ribbons at the ceremony, a creative nod to the towns heritage of cloth making.

Inspiring Couples

Sarah and Daniel both truly inspired this Somerset wedding photographer from start to finish on there wedding day. Apart from both being madly in love with each other, this wedding had it all! A fairy tale church ceremony at the beautiful All Saints church with a ceremony which was really touching and although the weather was at its windiest outside, Sarah had it covered! By not having confetti she chose to have ribbon wands instead, this was one of the many creative things Sarah had done – (oh and did I mention she made her own wedding dress!!!)

After the ribbon wand exit from the church, Sarah and Daniel where greeted by the towns local marching bands aka Frome Street Bandits which Daniel happens to be a very talented member of! The band led Sarah, Daniel and guests through the quaint village all the way alongside Nunney Castle to the stunning 17th century barn which was very kindly allowed to use as their stunning venue by a local friend and resident of Frome. Upon arrival Daniel was invited to play alongside the band and proudly took centre stage and stole the show with an amazing solo to finish the bands set.

A moment alone

For the couple photographs, we took a short time away from the guests in order to capture some of my favourite portrait photos of the year so far. For those of you who follow my Facebook or Instagram page, you may recognize one of the photos below as a profile photo. With the clouds above looking gloomy but with the sun trying to make an appearance we headed off around the medieval ruins and moat at Nunney Castle capturing some great photos and bumping into the bridesmaids half way round which was a great chance to get the girls together again for more laughter and photos.

With the weather threatening to rain we swiftly headed up a neighbouring hillside and found ourselves with the amazing Nunney Castle as the the perfect backdrop for a quiet moment alone. With the warmth of the sun slowly peeking out the connection between Sarah and Daniel these joyful moments were captured. Once we returned, the party could truly crank into full swing. With a romantic first dance, the dance floor could then fill out. The evening band Hundred Faces made sure that the dance floor was packed with classics from the 80’s,90’s and noughties.

A fantastic couple and a fantastic day to match. Hope you enjoy looking at these wedding memories again!
